Today Hope Vere Anderson announced exciting new plans to convert his Paisley facility into a culture and heritage centre for use by the public. The listed building, designed by architect Thomas Graham Abercrombie (1862-1926), was designated as an historic landmark building by Historic Environment Scotland.
“We believe the Paisley community and its visitors deserve a culturally stimulating and uplifting environment in which to evolve, prosper and flourish. Through creating an exciting novel culture heritage centre and museum, I envision a venue in which all communities may partake, the young and old alike.”
The overarching aim of the Centre is to serve and enhance the Paisley Community and Scotland at large. The primary purposes of the Centre include the advancement of education, the advancement of community development, and the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture and science. Initial amenities and public attractions will include a Scottish Tartans Museum, Scottish cultural and heritage museum, heritage skills academy, library, education and lecture venues for community and institutional use, a gift shop, book store and tea room, cultural and informational exhibits from specific organizations, office and meeting space.
Permanent and rotating exhibits may include: Scottish Culture, Multi-culture, Heritage and Art Exhibits; Scottish Tartan, Clan and Heraldry Exhibits; Art and History Exhibits; Racial Harmony and Ethnic Diversity Exhibits; Human Rights Exhibits; Protection of the Environment Exhibits; and Religious Diversity Exhibits.
“It is our intent the Centre will strive to compliment, enhance and support the Renfrewshire Council's and City of Paisley’s revitalization strategy. We believe the Paisley community deserves a culturally stimulating and uplifting environment in which to evolve, prosper and flourish,” according to Hope Anderson.

Today Hope Vere Anderson FSAScot announced plans for the annual Society of Antiquaries of Scotland North America Dinner Meeting to be held in Atlanta Georgia on October 18, 2025 at the Hilton Northeast Castle on the Hill Hotel.
“I plan to attend the Stone Mountain Scottish Festival and Highland Games on October 17 through 19, when I will be hosting the annual Society of Antiquaries of Scotland (FSAScot) dinner at the Hilton Northeast Atlanta; the Castle on the Hill hotel. In my role as the Society’s Honorary Secretary North American Affairs, I enjoy meeting with USA Society fellows and other friends every October in Atlanta.”
